The Nizhny Novgorod team defeated Omskie Yastreby in the final.
On April 25, Nizhny Novgorod hosted Game 6 of the Kharlamov Cup final. Nizhny Novgorod Chaika won their second OLIMPBET Junior Hockey League trophy.
The teams split the first two games in Omsk with the same 6-2 final score. In Nizhny Novgorod, Chaika beat Omsk twice (4-2, 5-2). Game 5 was played in Omsk and the host team got an overtime win (3-2). Nizhny Novgorod won the series in Game 6 in their barn in front of full stands (4200 spectators) – 3-2 OT. Chaika won the series 4-2. Yastreby won their first silver medals and now have a full set of JHL medals.
Chaika won their first Kharlamov Cup in the 2014/15 season. They defeated SKA-1946 in the final. A year later, Nizhny Novgorod made it all the way to the finals again, but lost to Loko.
Omskie Yastreby won two consecutive Kharlamov Cups in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2022, the Omsk team made the semi-finals and won their first bronze medals. This season, Yastreby won their first silver medals and now have a full set of JHL medals.
Omskie Yastreby and Chaika had 78 points each in the regular season and took first and second places in the Gold Division of the Eastern Conference, respectively. Omsk was the highest seed due to a big number of regulation wins.
A number of Chaika players are the playoff leaders: Artyom Misnikov is the top scorer and assists leader, Vasily Atanasov is the top goalscorer, Alexander Pelevin has the most points by a defenseman.
Artyom Misnikov was named the playoff MVP.
