LOKO’S STRONG START AND 140 PENALTY MINUTES IN CHEKHOV. JHL WEEK ROUND-UP

First week of Parimatch Junior Hockey League regular season came to a close. As the tradition goes, we present you the most interesting news, facts and vivid moments of the stretch.

33 games took place in Junior Hockey League in the past 7 days. A total of 679 players (50 goaltenders, 246 defensemen and 393 forwards) participated in them. 190 rookies made their debut in the league.

Home teams won 20 games in regulation and 1 more in the shootout. The visitors racked up 12 wins in regulation.

The teams combined for 180 goals over the 7-day period, 2 of which were scored on the empty net. Average scoring was 5.43 per game. A total of 133 players scored at least a goal.

Ruslan Abrosimov (Loko Yaroslalv) and Danil Mikhailov (Reaktor Nizhnekamsk) led the league in scoring with 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points each. They also were tied for first over the period with Maxim Krovyakov (SKA-1946 St. Petersburg) with 4 goals.

Most productive teams – Loko Yaroslavl and SKA-1946 St. Petersburg. Both teams netted 15 goals this past week.

Most productive line – Chefanov-Tyutnev-Abrosimov (Loko Yaroslavl). The players combined for 8 goals.

A total of 6 hat-tricks was registered. Artur Brovkin (Loko Yaroslavl), Dmitry Zaitsev (Chayka Nizhny Novgorod), Ruslan Abrosimov (Loko Yaroslavl), Danil Mikhailov (Reaktor Nizhnekamsk), Artyom Onishko (Sputnik Almetyevsk) and Pavel Tyutnev (Loko Yaroslavl) had one each. 12 times a player left the ice with two goals, including Maxim Krovyakov (SKA-1946 St. Petersburg) who did that on two occasions.

Best Goals Against Average – Alexander Gilyov (Sarmaty Orenburg) and Yegor Gorshkov (Loko Yaroslavl) with 1.000.

Most single-game saves – Sergei Ivanov (SKA-Varyagi Leningrad Region) in the game against SKA-1946 St. Petersburg on September 10th. The goaltender stopped 49 shots.

Most high-scoring minute – 59th as it featured 10 goals.

Most popular final score – 2-1, which was registered 6 times.

A total of 1112 penalty minutes was assessed (560 to home teams and 552 to visitors). An average of 33.70 penalty minutes was registered per game.

The game between Russkie Vityazi and Amurskie Tigry Khabarovsk, which took place on September 10th, was the most penalized. The teams combined for a total of 140 (70 each way) penalty minutes.
