Junior Hockey League media relations department continues the Room To Grow series, in which we take a look at every team of the 11th season. Taifun Primorie Region had a decent potential to make the playoffs, but unnecessary losses led them only to tying franchise record as the team finished 12th in the Western Conference.
Taifun Primorie Region
12th place in the Western Conference, 55 points in 64 games, 174 goals scored, 197 goals allowed
Primorie Region’s inaugural season still remains the most successful in franchise history as Taifun finished 12th. Despite missing the playoffs this year, the team finished higher in regular season standings than the previous season and was able to put up a good fight against Junior Hockey League’s top clubs. Vladivostok struggled heavily gaining points but their fans still have something good to look back on. For example, beating Moscow and St. Petersburg JHC Dynamo as well as JHC Spartak Moscow and Krasnaya Armiya Moscow on home ice, and also a sweep against HK Riga in the season-series.
