Junior Hockey League media relations department looks at most notable off-season transfers in Kontinental Hockey League and junior teams.
Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg extended 2-way contracts with several players from their KHL team, VHL’s Gornyak Uchaly and JHL’s Avto. Andrei Obidin, Denis Yerkin, Ivan Sushinsky, Evgeny Mityakin, Roman Ivashov, Artyom Belotsky, Vyacheslav Sharipov and Alexander Fyodorov will remain within the club’s system.
Forward Pavel Makhanovsky has joined Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk. Makhanovsky played 239 Junior Hockey League games for Omskie Yastreby and won Kharlamov Cup twice. He also won Hockey Night in Boston tournament and Junior Club World Cup.
Neftyanik Almetyevsk inked a deal with defenseman Kirill Ablayev. He’s yet another Kharlamov Cup and Junior Club World Cup champion with JHC Spartak Moscow. Ablayev played 105 Junior Hockey League games for the red-and-white.
Defenseman Dmitry Vozovik accepted qualified offer from Lada Togliatti for two years. Vozovik had played for Atlanty Moscow Region and Russkie Vityazi in Junior Hockey League. He combined a total of 71 games for these two Moscow Region teams.
Barys Nursultan signed a new deal with Team Kazakhstan defenseman Valery Orekhov. 19-year-old Orekhov played 63 games for Snezhnye Barsy Nursultan.
