About the League
Junior Hockey League presents pre-season plans for every club. Today we take a look at Loko Yaroslavl and Mamonty Yugry Khanty-Mansiysk.
Reigning Kharlamov Cup champions will have their first pre-season camp in Yaroslavl until July 27th.
The team will play their first exhibition game on July 26th as they will go up against Almaz Cherepovets. The following day the ‘railway men’ face Atlanty Moscow Region.
After a 2-day camp in Yaroslavl, Loko will travel to St. Petersburg to participate in a pre-season tournament. Dmitry Krasotkin’s men will face several St. Petersburg teams - SKA-1946, SKA-Varyagi and JHC Dynamo St. Petersburg – along with HK Riga and Snezhnye Barsy Nursultan. The tournament will be held between July 29th and August 4th.
Between August 12th and August 20th Loko will play three more exhibition games. One of Yaroslavl’s opponents once again will be Almaz Cherepovets. After that the ‘railway men’ will travel to Sochi to participate in the 2019 Junior Club World Cup, in which they will represent Russia.
2019 Junior Hockey League bronze medalists will have their first pre-season camp in Schuchinsk, Kazakhstan until July 17th, and then return to Khanty-Mansiysk.
HC Salavat Yulaev Cup will be held in Ufa between July 29th and August 3rd. Mamonty Yugry will participate in the tournament. Their opponents will be determined at a later date.
Following a 10-day camp, the ‘Mammoths’ will travel to Chelyabinsk and participate in Memorial Tournament, which will run from August 27th to August 29th. Aside from Mamonty Yugry, the tournament will be attended by Belye Medvedi Chelyabinsk, SKA-Varyagi St. Petersburg and Avto Yekaterinburg.
Up until August 31st the team will be preparing for the start of the JHL regular season at home.
