Junior Hockey League media relations department looks at most notable off-season transfers in Kontinental Hockey League and junior teams.
Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod extended their contract with forward Damir Zhafyarov. The new deal will last through the 2019-20 season. Zhafyarov played 75 games for Kuznetskie Medvedi and Krasnaya Armiya Moscow in JHL, scoring 50 points (27 goals, 23 assists).
Former Loko Yaroslavl captain, Kharlamov Cup and Junior Club World Cup champion, Igor Bondyrev inked a deal with Neftyanik Almetyevsk. Bondyrev has played 117 games for Loko, scoring 28 goals and notching 27 assists for a total of 55 points.
Avangard Omsk signed a 3-year contract with forward Nikita Scherbak. In the past season he played for the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL and the club’s AHL affiliate. Scherbak played 50 games for HC Kapitan Stupino in the 2012-13 season in JHL.
Lada Togliatti made a trade with CSK VVS Samara. Togliatti sent to Samara forwards Yegor Alexeyev, Konstantin Kukharev, Leonid Nikolenko and Maxim Tsybin for monetary compensation.
