Fourth team has clinched a playoff berth for this spring. And once again it’s a Western Conference representative. With a win over HC Kapitan Stupino, JHC Spartak Moscow have guaranteed themselves among the Top-8 teams of the West.
2014 Kharlamov Cup champions needed more than a win in a hard-fought game against Stupino. They also needed SKA-Serebryanye Lvy St. Petersburg to lose to Almaz Cherepovets. The latter did their part and after handing SKA-1946 their playoff berth, they did the same to the red-and-white.
In 48 regular season games JHC Spartak got 33 wins and 8 losses in regulation. They scored 161 goals and allowed 98. The team currently sits 4th in the Western Conference, three points behind JHC Dinamo St. Petersburg.
