“The guys did a great job! They came out of their shells and played beautiful and exciting hockey,” said SKA-1946 St. Petersburg and Team West head-coach Mikhail Milyokhin. “Perhaps, the fans were a little disappointed but it’s hockey that wins in games like these. There was a great ambience at the game. I’ve been through it and I can say these are the great moments. It is not my prerogative to single players out. Of course, I would like to praise my team, which I coached with Dmitry Ivanovich Krasotkin. Our guys played better today. This is sports and tomorrow the result could be very different!”.

“There was a very good ambience at the game today. The only negative is that we lost,” said Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk and Team East head-coach Dmitry Stulov. “We didn’t do so well with the nervousness and in some way the goal that we allowed while having a man-advantage was the key. As they say, that goal got into the goalie’s head and the nervousness became a factor. These are skilled players, they still develop. The most important thing is that they participate in such an event and got to feel the atmosphere. I think, they have a bright future ahead of them and big opportunities. I want to thank the league once again, hockey club Barys Astana and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Today was very emotional and a lot of fun, too.”
