2017 Junior Club World Cup quarterfinal round came to an end. Avto Yekaterinburg (Russia), HK Riga (Latvia), Jokerit Helsinki (Finland) and Davos (Switzerland) were eliminated from medal competition.

Reigning Kharlamov Cup champions Krasnaya Armiya Moscow was the first team to proceed to the semifinals as they came back in the game against Jokerit to win it 6-2. Davos and Trinec had one of the most exciting games at the tournament as the Czech side won it in the shootout 6-5.

Snezhnye Barsy Astana made the semifinal round for the second consecutive year as they beat HK Riga 3-2. The biggest surprise took place at CEC Uralets in Yekaterinburg where Avto and Swedish MODO were tied 5-5 after regulation. The visiting team managed to score on a powerplay in overtime and thus won their first game at the Junior Club World Cup. Swedish champion didn’t get a single point in round robin.
