Just regular season games took place in Molodyozhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga (MHL) on November 15th. Both of them happened in St. Petersburg and ended with the same final score.

SKA-Serebryanye Lvy St. Petersburg once again lost to Almaz Cherepovets on home ice. The visiting team showed character the night before as they came back from trailing 2-0 and went on to win it in the shootout. This time around they played smart defensively and scored a goal in the first and third periods of play. That proved to be enough to walk away with three points. Vladislav Shlyakhtov opened up the scoring off a quick rush on a powerplay. With six and a half minutes remaining to play in regulation Nikita Kolesnikov scored another one as he sent it upstairs to make it 2-0. With this win Almaz are now fifth in the Western Conference. Goaltender Alexei Artamkin stopped all 18 shots he had to face in this one and thus earned his fourth shutout of the season.

SКА-1946 St. Petersburg beat Loko Yaroslavl in the second game of the back-to-back series as well. Just as the other game this day it ended with a final score of 2-0. The reigning champions had the momentum in the opening period of play but they had nothing to show for it in the end. SKA-1946 got lucky on their first tally – Alexei Ozhgikhin threw the puck along the goal-line and it got deflected in off a defenseman’s skate. After that both teams got nervous and ran into a penalty problem. Things got heated up and the teams combined for 50 penalty minutes. Second goal of the game came at 45-16 – Vladislav Kurbatov got the marker. ‘The railway men’ threw everything they had at SKA-1946 but still couldn’t get anything past Alexei Melnichuk.
