Molodyozhnya Hokkeynaya Liga (MHL) Media Realtions department wraps up weekend action. After Saturday and Sunday games, Sarmaty Orenburg netminder Danil Kudashev is selected as the first star of October 22nd gameday, while Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk forward Konstantin Dubin gets the same honors for October 23rd gameday.

In the game against Sibirskie Snaipery Novosibirsk Region 19-year goaltender earned his third career Molodyozhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga shutout. Sarmaty Orenburg won the game 1-0. Kudashev stopped all 28 shots he had to face in that game. Evgeny Novosyolov scored the only goal for the winning team in the third stanza.
Danil Kudashev is in his fifth MHL season, but he wasn’t getting much ice-time in the previous few years. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl junior hockey school alumnus played 26 games for Loko in the MHL. This season he played 15 games for Sarmaty. His current goals against average is 1.75 and he has two shutout wins. Excluding the game against Sibirskie Snaipery, Kudashev hadn’t allowed any goals in the game against Reaktor Nizhnekamsk.
Sarmaty Orenburg will play their next games on the road on October 25th and 27th as they will face Tolpar in Ufa.
Konstantin Dubin
18-year-old forward scored a pair of goals and notched an assist for three points in the game against Kuznetskie Medvedi Novokuznetsk this past Sunday. Despite the fact Stalnye Lisy lost the game in the shootout, they can still be proud of the way they played as they came back from behind three times to tie the game up. They made it a 4-4 hockey game with just a over a minute remaining in till the final buzzer. Dubin scored Magnitogorsk’s first and second tallies and then assisted on Evgeny Konovalchuk’s marker. Kuznetskie Medvedi went on to win the game 5-4 in the shootout.
Last season Konstantin Dubin played for Sarmaty Orenburg and he is now in his sophomore MHL season. He played 38 regular season games for Sarmaty, scoring 20 goals and adding 11 assists to that for a total of 31 points. This season the forward played 20 games, scoring eight goals and notching nine assists for a total of 17 points.
Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk will play their next games in Yekaterinburg on October 26th and 27th. Vitaly Solovyov’s men will face Avto.
