About the League
Chelyabinsk netminders continue to bring joy to their fans. After Nikita Podskrebalin, who was named the top goaltender of the past week, another Belye Medvedi netminder Sergei Mylnikov is named the first star of October 17th gameday.
In the game against Sputnik Almetyevsk Belye Medvedi scored three unanswered goals and with that win they climbed on top of the Eastern Conference. Sergei Mylnikov stopped every shot he had to face and thus earned his first career shutout in Molodyozhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga. Overall he stopped 23 shots. Kirill Koshurnikov, Ivan Bezrukov and Maxim Shipin got the goals for Belye Medvedi.
17-year-old Mylnikov is in his rookie season in the MHL. The game against Sputnik was his eighth career game. He currently has four wins and his goals against average is 1.99.
