FIRST STARS OF THE WEEKEND

Molodyozhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga Media Relations department wrap-up this weekend’s action. After the games that took place on Saturday and Sunday Amurskie Tigry forward Pavel Krutiy is the first star of September 17th, while HC MVD forward Alexander Petunin is the first star of September 18th.

19-year-old forward scored two goals for Amurskie Tigry Khabarovsk and helped them to beat MHL debutants Taifun Primorie Region on the road. Russia’s Far East rivalry ended 6-2 in favor of Khabarovsk.

This is Krutiy’s fourth season in the MHL. In the previous three he got 10 points. Overall the forward played 104 MHL games, scoring 17 goals and adding 14 assists to that for a total of 31 points.

Alexander Petunin
19-year-old forward helped HC MVD Balashikha beat SKA-1946 St. Petersburg. The teams were tied after regulation at 3-3. Four minutes into the extra frame Petunin scored on a powerplay and with that ‘the Policemen’ got the extra point. On top of that Petunin also had three assists.

This is Petunin’s third season in the league. Last year was the most productive he’s had yet. In 27 games he scored 7 goals and picked up 16 assists for a total of 23 points. He finished second on his team in scoring.
