On April 25, SKA-1946 won the main Junior Hockey League trophy by defeating Krasnaya Armiya in Game 6 of the 2021/2022 final.
The St. Petersburg youth team became the eight team to win the Kharlamov Cup.
In Game 6 of the final series, there were several changes in the lineups of the teams. The defenseman of Krasnaya Armiya Artyom Duda was not dressed for the game, and Danila Stanislavsky returned to the lineup. Grigory Kuzmin played for SKA-1946 instead of Daniil Lazutin.
The home team had a great start and scored the first goal of the game 2 minutes into the first period. SKA-1946 got the momentum and the Moscow team only mustered 3 shots on goal for Sergei Ivanov to stop during the first period. In one of the episodes, Sergei Shamshurin did not manage to beat the St. Petersburg goalie 1-on-1. The home team stretched the lead by scoring a power play goal 28 minutes into the game, but a third-period goal of Krasnaya Armiya cut the lead to one. The lacrosse-style goal scored by Matvei Michkov turned out to be the game-winner. The visiting team managed to score their second goal, but they couldn’t tie it to make the game go to overtime. Final score - 3:2 for SKA-1946.
Matvei Michkov scored game winning lacrosse-style goal which was the 13th playoff goal for him. He has passed Yaroslav Likhachyov who has 12 playoff goals. Michkov ended the tournament as the top goalscorer.
Ilya Ivantsov scored 2 (1+1) points, Fyodor Svechkov had 2 assists.
Yegor Kuzminov added a goal and an assist for Krasnaya Armiya.
SKA-1946 won the Kharlamov Cup for the first time in their history. It has been the the third final for the team. Krasnaya Armiya won silver medals for the third time.
