Junior Hockey League teams played exhibition games in Togliatti, St. Petersburg. Moscow and Cherepovets on August 30th.

Tolpar score three goals late in regulation to beat Ladiya

Ladiya Togliatti allowed the first goal of the game – Gorshkov was credited with the marker as he banged home the rebound. Lev Berdichdvsky’s men continued to have the momentum on their side in the second period of action. Tolpar had several power play opportunities but the home side had a better scoring chance conversion rate. First Ladiya scored a shorthanded goal – Andrei Malinov got the tally. Later on in a span of just over a minute Dmitry Belenchuk and Artyom Yakutov got a marker each to extend Togliatti’s lead to two goals.

In the first half of the third stanza Ladiya focused on defense but ended up giving up the momentum and collapsed letting the opposition to pull off a comeback. Igor Karpov was the biggest hero of the stretch as first he converted on a power play opportunity and then tied the game up with just over a minute remaining to play in regulation. Ufa didn’t let the bout go the extra mile. Artyom Zubarev found himself in the right place at the right time and buried home the rebound with 34 second on the clock to win it for Tolpar.

The game in St. Petersburg between rivals SKA-Varyagi and JHC Dynamo ended with the same final score as the former won in the shootout. Dynamo erased a 2-goal deficit in the third period of action but Nedopyokin scored the shootout winner for SKA-Varyagi.

Reigning champs beat their Moscow rivals Spartak

A game between two Moscow rivals took place at Luzhniki – JHC Spartak faced off against reigning Kharlamov Cup champions JHC Dynamo.Matvei Nadornyi scored the opening goal of the bout to put the blue-and-white in the lead. The teams traded goals in the second period of action. First Spartak’s Vadim Fattakhov brought it back to even and then Danil Paramonov gave Dynamo back a narrow lead. The red-and-white converted on a power play but the reigning champs had the last word in the game. Andrei Nikonov scored the winner in a 4-on-4 situation.

Almaz played hosts to Loko-76 Yaroslavl in Cherepovets . Junior Hockey League newest member came back from behind twice as they trailed 2-0 and 3-2. However, defenseman Alexander Mirgorod, who recently joined Cherepovets, scored the game-winning goal late in the third period of action.
