Loko-76 Yaroslavl win Sakharov Cup, Irbis Kazan suffer another blowout loss

Kama Tyres Cup Day 2 games took place in Kazan. In the opening game of the day Mikhailov Academy Tula Region edged Chayka Nizhny Novgorod Region in overtime. Nizhny Novgorod allowed a goal first but then rallied back and took the lead as Artyom Misnikov scored a pair of goals. However, Mikhailov Academy found a way to respond to that. Gleb Petrov, who had opened up the scoring on a powerplay just over five minutes into the game, brought it back to even. The teams traded goals after that. Vladislav Ruzin scored the overtime-winner for Mikhailov Academy just over a minute into the extra period of play.

Loko-76 Yaroslavl win Sakharov Cup in Togliatti

In the opening game of the day at Sakharov Cup held in Togliatti tournament champion was decided. Loko-76 Yaroslavl win go home with the trophy. In their final contest of the tourney Junior Hockey League newest member beat Sarmaty Orenburg. ‘Railway men’ scored all of their four goals on a power play. This narrow 4-3 overtime win propelled Yaroslavl to the top of the final standings. They edged Ladiya Togliatti due to the win in the game between the two teams.
