Gagarin Cup, the main trophy of Kontinental Hockey League, continued its tour over Russian cities. Next stop – Nizhny Tagil. Prior to making a trip to his hometown of Nizhny Tagil, Avangard Omsk defenseman Semyon Chistyakov also visited the grave and home of the late JHC Dynamo St. Petersburg defenseman Timur Faizutdinov, who tragically passed away in March 2021, in Chelyabinsk.

In Nizhny Tagil the Gagarin Cup was displayed at the school Chistyakov had attended as well as several town sights and a local hockey game.

The trophy had been previously brought to town by forward Artyom Zhelezkov, who had won it with Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2016. Thanks to Chistyakov Zhelezkov was finally able to take the photo.
