Vitaly Chernochub will be the new head-coach of Omskie Yastreby. Last season he worked with Omsk U17 team. He was also one of Oleg Ugolnikov’s assistants on Junior Hockey League team.
As a player 41-year-old Vitaly Chernochub has been a forward. He played for Sibir Novosibirsk, Dynamo Moscow and Shakhtyor Prokopyevsk in second and third tiers of Russian championship. As a coach Chernochub has worked with junior teams in Novosibirsk and Omsk, where he moved during the 2019-20 season. In May 2020 he led Avangard-2004 to U17 Russian championship final tournament gold medals.
On Omskie Yastreby Vitaly Gennadiyevich will be assisted by Alexander Gulyayev, Igor Zemlyanoy and Andrei Yevstafyev. Dmitry Ageyev will retain his position as the “Hawks” goaltending coach, while Sergei Prankevich will be the physical conditioning coach for Omskie Yastreby.
