From the 2021-22 season Russkie Vityazi Moscow Region junior team, just as the club’s Kontinental Hockey League team, will host their home games in Podolsk, at Vityaz Ice Palace.
As per Vityaz Moscow Region president Mikhail Golovkov, the decision is aimed at connecting the Kontinental Hockey League and Junior Hockey League teams in one town and allowing the fans to come to the games.
“Last season because of the pandemic every single game of our junior hockey team was played with no fans,” said Mikhail Goryunov. “Most likely, we’re going to have the opportunity to let the fans in in Podolsk. So as soon as we get the go-ahead from Moscow Region government to let the fans into the rink, we’re going to announce the news.”
Russkie Vityazi Moscow Region hosted their home games in Chekhov since the inaugural season of Junior Hockey League, at times playing in Podolsk as well. The latest game held on Chekhov ice was on February 6th. At the date Russkie Vityazi played their final Junior Hockey League regular season game against JHC Dynamo St. Petersburg.
Children and school students will be allowed to the 2021-22 Parimatch Junior Hockey League games in Podolsk, Moscow Region free of charge.
