Just one regular season game took place in Molodyozhnaya Hokkeynaya Liga (MHL) on November 8th. MHL action returned with a match-up between Krasnaya Armiya Moscow and Amurskie Tigry Khabarovsk.

The fans were treated to a hard-fought hockey in the opening period of play but it ripped no goals. Home team opened up the scoring at 27-56. Semyon Lugovyak got a minor penalty for dislodging the net, Amurskie Tigry made the red-and-blue pay with a powerplay marker – Pavel Krutiy found the back of the net. The visiting team brought it all back to square one again with just 2-33 remaining on the clock in the second frame – Mikhail Mescheryakov got the tally.

Notably, Amurskie Tigry had allowed a goal earlier but it was disallowed after a video review – the puck went in off a skate and there was a distinct kicking motion. Key moment of the game came late in the third stanza. Krasnaya Armiya once again had to pay for getting a penalty – Mikhail Byakin got the minor and Matvey Zaseda gave Amurskie Tigry their second lead of the night.

Krasnaya Armiya threw everything they had at Khabarovsk in the dying minutes of the game. They even pulled their netminder for the extra attacker but that only led to an empty-netter by Artur Gizdatullin. Krasnaya Armiya Moscow lose their second consecutive game. With this 3-1 win over the top team of the Western Conference Amurskie Tigry Khabarovsk have 38 points and they are back in the playoff zone.
